Born in Washington D.C., Clairette has spent her entire life in Virginia, spent at her grandmother's in the south of France. Combining her love for most things French and her state pride, Clairette, appropriately, is attending the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Ironically, she applied for a summer internship at VT, and is spending the summer doing some exciting research in purification and organic functionalization of trimetallic nitride endohedral metallofullerenes (TNT EMFs) for Dr. Dorn. Her chief professional goal is to be involved in chemical research of some kind that adheres to and furthers the principles of Green Chemistry/making the lives of everyone much more natural and healthy.
